SSW Better Software Suggestions

Do you agree that products always have room for improvement?

"Every day there are little things in software that we find annoying. Some write books about it, like Annoyances.org, but I thought this site would be more constructive.

BetterSoftwareSuggestions.com is proudly maintained by myself and the developers at SSW."

Show attached emails as normal attachments

By Adam Cogan in iPad, iPhone September 13, 2011 0 Comment

An email with an attachments (of an .msg) doesn’t show as attachments.
Grrrrr.

iPads/iPhones actually embed the text at the bottom of the email – but I can’t imagine anyone expecting that behavior.

Make it easy to add a screen shot into an email

By Adam Cogan in iPad, iPhone August 25, 2011 0 Comment

The experience should be:

  1. Take a screen shot (currently works – using the 2 button approach)
  2. Pop a screen and ask if you want that on the clipboard
  3. Open an email and Paste (currently works)
  4. Convert the email to HTML (currently it shows beautifully inline when you view on an iPhone, but someone in OWA only sees a ‘Plain Text’ email with 2 attachments

Email – Give an option to keep images inline in the email history
